COME ON OUT, LEARN ABOUT AND TRY TEA!

The Difference Between Tea and "Herbal Tea"

TEA or TISANE
The word "tea" should only be used when we are referring to actual TEA (that is, Camellia sinensis) , both Chinese and Indian varieties. The word "Tea" should only be used when it contains tea leaves.

All other herbal concoctions should be called "Tisane", (pronounced TEEzan) a French word derived from the Greek via Latin word "ptisan" meaning "crushed barley water". Ptisana is an ancient Psychotropic drink, made of barley.

If there is no Tea, it should not be called tea!
